Lucy Kessler

Lucy Kessler is currently a Senior Associate at the Rocky Mountain Institute in Denver, where she works on the RMI Global Climate Finance team to increase the volume offinance available for clean energy and low-carbon development and to improve upon the efficiency of the global climate finance system.

Lucy received her Masters of Environmental Management (MEM) from Yale University’s School of Forestry & Environmental Studies in 2018, where she specialized in corporate social responsibility and clean energy. She worked on energy projects pertaining to electricity markets and solar energy policies and has worked with numerous corporate clients including The Gap, Patagonia, and Cascade Designs. 

Prior to Yale, Lucy worked at a clean-energy nonprofit based in Aspen, Colorado that incentivized energy efficiency and clean energy and advanced sustainability policies at the local and state level. Lucy helped develop several community-engagement programs including a low-income efficiency program, a city-wide energy savings competition as part of the Georgetown University Energy Prize, water-conservation initiatives, and waste-reduction campaigns. She has written for the Huffington Post and works as one of the communications research assistants for the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy

Lucy majored in biology at Colorado College and was a student author of The Colorado College State of the Rockies Report.
